  • April 26 at Yankee Stadium - Red Sox win 4th in a row, knocking off Yanks 6-2, Dave Sisler vs. Tom Sturdivant. Jim Piersall's three-run 7th inning HR off Tommy Byrne is crushing blow. HR Enos Slaughter. Mantle, Skowron, Dick Gernert, Frank Sullivan, Slaughter and McDougald.

  • May 3 at the Polo Grounds - Pete Whisenant's 3-run 9th inning homer wins wild 11-10 slugfest, Art Fowler vs. Red Worthington, as Reds win 7th in a row! Gus Bell hits inside the park HR and Red Schoendienst and Hank Sauer homer for Giants.

  • Sunday May 5 at Ebbets Field - Braves tomahawk Dodger pitchers for 10-7 win, Buhl vs. Maglie. Campy and Aaron each hit 3-run homers, but reliever Ernie Johnson is hero with RBI and 6 innings of outstanding relief.

  • May 12 at Briggs Stadium - Larry Doby hits two homers and a circuit poke by Walt Dropo help rookie Bill Fischer to his first big league victory, a 5-4 win over Tigers and Paul Foytack.

  • May 17 at Memorial Stadium - First place "Go-Go" White Sox win 5th in a row, beating Orioles 3-2, Dick Donovan vs Art Ceccarelli. Sox skipper Al Lopez, Minnie Minoso, Jim Landis and Oriole boss Paul Richards shown. HR Tito Francona.

  • Friday night May 24 at Connie Mack Stadium - Phils beat Bucs 7-3, Bob Friend vs. rookie Jack Sanford with Turk Farrell in relief. Home runs by Chico Fernandez, Repulski, Hamner and "Puddin' Head" Jones. Hamner's is inside-the-park! Cardwell, Bob Bowman and Ed Bouchee.

  • Sunday May 26 at Municipal Stadium - Billy Pierce beats rookie Bud Daley in 10-inning pitching duel at Cleveland! Pierce has 7 wins already for first place White Sox!

  • June 2 at Comiskey Park - Al Kaline's clubbing downs White Sox in first game of Sunday DH, as Jim Bunning and Tigers beat first place White Sox and Bill Fischer, 3-1.

  • What's He Doing Now? Jim Leaming interviews the former Giant-Yankee Johnny Mize, now retired and living in Deland, Florida.

  • Friday night June 7 at Ebbets Field - Ed Bailey's 9th inning HR is one of only three hits given up by Roger Craig, as Bums beat Reds and John Klippstein, 6-3. Rube Walker and Don Zimmer hit homers for Brooklyn, while Cincinnati skipper Birdie Tebbetts gets ejected. Frank Robinson, George Crowe, Bailey, Gil Hodges, Geno Cimoli and Don Zimmer.

  • June 8 at Comiskey Park - WREX channel 13 TV Rockford interviews new White Sox skipper Al Lopez. Sox are in first place by five games!

  • June 9 at Comiskey Park - HR's by Tito Francona and Bob Nieman halt Chisox win streak, as Orioles and Ray Moore beat Sox rookie Bill Fischer 7-5, in first game of Sunday DH.

  • June 13 at Connie Mack Stadium - Jim Leaming interviews Stan Musial. Then rookie sensation Jack Sanford and Phils beat Cardinals and Wilmer Mizell 8-1 to end Redbird 8-game winning streak. Repulski, Cardinal pilot Fred Hutchinson, Del Ennis, and Hal Smith.

  • June 20 at Yankee Stadium - New York tames Tigers 3-1, Bob Turley vs Frank Lary. It's Yank's 7th win in a row! Bill Skowron, Bobby Shantz, Harvey Kuenn and Al Kaline.

  • June 23 at Yankee Stadium - Streaking Yanks win their 10 in a row as Shantz beats Billy Pierce and Chisox, 10-2 in front game of Sunday DH! Home run, Hank Bauer.

  • 4th of July at Connie Mack Stadium - Phils edge Giants 2-1 as Harvey Haddix beats Rubin Gomez in opening game of July 4 DH! Rip Repulski smacks 5th inning HR. Rigney, Mays, Mueller, Danny O'Connell, Bobby Thomson and young Daryl Spencer.

  • Old Timers Star Again as ex-Tigers meet Red Wings in Little League benefit game. Tigers with Dizzy Trout, Mickey Cochran and Mike Tresh squeeze past Red Wings Gordy Howe, Terry Sawchuk and Ted Lindsey with 3-2 win.

  • July 7 at old Busch Stadium - Joe Cunningham is star of the game, smashing out a first inning HR and later game-winning hit in the 10th inning to bring Redbirds (Von McDaniel) 3-2 win vs. Brooks Lawrence and Reds in first game of Sunday DH. Smoky Burgess HR in 2nd inning.

  • Annual mid-season All-Star Game at St. Louis - Stengel, Ted, Kaline, Mantle, Minoso, Walt Alston w/ Al Helfer, Musial and Simmons vs. Bunning. Minnie Minoso is the star of the game, with 1 for 1, key assist and pivotal putout as Americans hang on to win 6-5.

  • 1957 All-Star Game from a different perspective - Managers Alston and Stengel with Ford Frick. Shorter version with all-new scenes and different camera angles.

  • July 14 at Comiskey Park - "Go-Go" Sox run down Yanks in first game of Sunday DH, Pierce vs. Shantz (see our "White Sox At Comiskey" video for highlights of second game). Pierce tosses nifty 5-hitter at NY for his 13th win of the year, as running Pale Hose prevail, 3-1.

  • July 18 at Ebbets Field - Dodgers win wild slugfest 10-9 in 12 innings, Podres vs. Cardinals and Larry Jackson. Musial raps out his 600th career double and Snider wallops his 21st HR for Brooklyn, however it's Gil Hodges who kills the Cardinals with a 9th inning grand slam that sends the game into extra innings!

  • Mid July at Connie Mack Stadium - Jim Leaming interviews sensational young rookie pitcher of the Phillies, Jack Sanford.

  • July 24 at Yankee Stadium - White Sox again run wild on the bases and scramble past Yankees 7-2 in Wednesday afternoon game, Ford vs. Pierce. Yogi Berra smacks 8th inning HR. Skowron, Minoso, Fox Mantle, Tony Kubek, Earl Torgeson, Sammy Esposito and Donovan.

  • July 25 at Memorial Stadium - Orioles win 4th straight shutout behind hurler Connie Johnson, who blanks Tigers and Frank Lary, 3-0 in Baltimore. Hector "Skinny" Brown, Billy Loes, Ray Moore, Charlie Maxwell and Jim Bunning.

  • Ted Williams feature at Fenway Park - With more rest since the All-Star Game, Ted is having a spectacular season, flirting with the .400 mark! Ted is interviewed.

  • July 27 at New York - Annual Old Timers Day at Yankee Stadium! Cochran, Gehringer, Davey Jones, Jim Small, Cobb with DiMaggio, Berra with Schoolboy Rowe, Red Rolfe with Mrs. Lou Gehrig and Mrs. Babe Ruth, Dean, new HOF'ers Sam Crawford and Joe McCarthy, Lefty Gomez, Red Ruffing, Mantle, Home Run Baker and Al Schacht.

  • August 2 at County Stadium - "Long Gene" Conley hurls masterful 1-0 shutout and drives in only run himself as Braves knock off Brooklyn and Johnny Podres. Hank Aaron, Buhl with Spahn, Pafko, "Hawk" Taylor and John DeMerit, Frank Torre, Alston, Hodges and Snider.

  • August 7 at Memorial Stadium - Red Sox and Frank Sullivan down Orioles and Connie Johnson, 5-2 in 11 innings as Sullivan gets 10th win. Williams, Jackie Jensen and Piersall.

  • August 15 at the Polo Grounds - Giants announce their move to San Francisco for 1958, and beat Dodgers 9-4, Curt Barclay vs. Don Drysdale. Rookie catcher Valmy Thomas smacks second inning HR and gets 4 RBI in this game.

  • August 22 at Connie Mack Stadium - In Thursday night game, Cardinals beat Jack Sanford and Phils 6-5 behind Larry Jackson and Ken Boyer's HR. Stan Musial, Boyer, Alvin Dark, Von & Lindy McDaniel, Richie Ashburn, Rip Ripulski and Don Blasingame.

  • August 29 at Comiskey Park - Enos Slaughter's 11th inning HR breaks up tight pitcher's battle (Donovan vs. Sturdivant), as Yanks are closing in on wrapping up another A.L. pennant. Win sweeps big series for Yanks over second place White Sox. Bauer also homers for NY.

  • August 30 at Yankee Stadium - Mickey Mantle goes 3 for 4 and crashes his 34th homer of the year, but Yanks lose to lowly Washington Senators 4-2, Chuck Stobbs vs. Bobby Shantz. Roy Sievers, Mickey Mantle, Bill Skowron, and Eddie Yost.

  • Saturday September 14 at Yankee Stadium - White Sox delay Yank pennant express with 5-2 win, in Donovan vs. Sturdivant rematch. It's the last series of the year between the two top pennant contenders! Rookie Bobby Richardson, Elston Howard, Enos Slaughter and Minoso. HR Rivera.

  • September 29 at New York - The "last game" at the historic old Polo Grounds! Pirates win sad farewell 8-1, but after game, players must run for their lives as fans storm the field and chase players all the way to the old centerfield clubhouse! Mays, Maglie, Giants skipper Bill Rigney.

  • Spring, 1960 - The demolition of Ebbets Field, Brooklyn! Includes civic "ceremonies" at home plate with Campy in wheelchair, Ralph Branca, Carl Erskine and Tommy Holmes. Then wrecking ball goes to work, smashing old Dodger dugout!

  • Opening Game, 1957 World Series at Yankee Stadium, Whitey Ford vs. Warren Spahn. Stengel, Haney, Mantle, Gerry Coleman, Hank Bauer, Aaron, Joe Adcock, Mathews and Schoendienst.
