RARE PARTIAL TVS BROADCAST!!

Another rare broadcast treasure has been released from our vault of vintage film never before seen by the general public! Thanks to the restoration expertise of Rare Sportsfilms Inc, most of the 1972 NBA-ABA post-season All-Star Game, broadcast live from the new home of the New York Nets, is now available on high-quality digital video! This rare piece from May 25, 1972, shows the entire broadcast up to the time out with about two minutes left in the third quarter. (There are only two NBA complete-game TV broadcasts which even exist prior to 1970, and neither has ever been made available on home video). Included are pre-game interviews by Cliff Hagan and “Hot Rod” Hundley with the two coaches, Elgin Baylor of the NBA and Al Bianchi of the ABA. Then at halftime, Hagan interviews Wilt Chamberlain, recent NBA Championship Series MVP of the first-time World Champion Los Angeles Lakers! He also interviews sensational young rookie Julius Erving of the Virginia Squires. Hot Rod Hundley then interviews the fabulous Oscar Robertson of the Milwaukee Bucks. The broadcast play-by-play is handled by Don Criqui, with Hagan and Hundley doing the color. A look at the player lineups below will be all that rabid basketball fans of “the good ol’ days” will need to see before they quickly order this newly released 1 hour, 34 minute B & W video!
