Two back-to-back 1968 AFL "Week In Review" films are now together and in color on one 51-minute DVD from Rare Sportsfilms! Shown are all the highlights of the first two weeks of the 1968 season. Here are the games and players you'll see:
WEEK 1

Friday Night, Sept. 6 at San Diego Stadium - HOF coach Paul Brown's brand new Cincinnati Bengals play their first game ever! QB Dewey Warren and Tom Smiley combine for first pass and reception in team history, and brilliant rookie Paul Robinson caps opening drive with first TD and 7-0 lead over favored Chargers! However, John Hadl, Brad Hubbert and Dick Post (140 yds in 16 rushes) are too much for baby Bengals and coach Sid Gillman's Chargers win season lidlifter, 29-13! Willie Frazier, Gary Garrison and Lance Alworth (ejected) also shown for San Diego, with Dale Livingston, Sherrill Headrick, Fletcher Smith and Warren McVea in action for Cincinnati.
- Sunday Sept. 8 at War Memorial Stadium - Rookie QB Dan Darragh starts in place of injured Jack Kemp and leads Bills to early 7-0 lead, but Pats defense shuts down Bills for rest of game. Meanwhile, rookie R.C. Gamble has outstanding game and scores TD as Boston spoils Bills home opener, 16-7. Other Pats shown are Nick Buoniconti, Daryle Johnson, Houston Antwine, Willie Porter, Gino Cappelletti, Gene Thomas and Larry Garron. In action for Bills are Paul Costa, Dick Cunningham, Ben Gregory, Haven Moses and Elbert Dubenion.
- Monday Night Sept. 9 at The Astrodome - In the most exciting game of the week, the Chiefs hold on to outlast Oiler comback, 26-21. QB Len Dawson, Otis Taylor, Bert Coan, Curtis McClinton, Wendell Hayes, Willie Mitchell, Noland Smith, Ernie Ladd, Jim Kearney, Emmitt Thomas and Jan Stenerud battle Oilers Pete Beathard, Sid Blanks, Alvin Reed, Ode Burrell and rookie Mac Haik.
(The Broncos, Dolphins, Jets and Raiders all had byes this first week)
