     Highlights of the new Dallas Cowboys' first NFL season (1960), plus the first ever Cowboys victory (opening week, 1961) make this 48-minute B & W presentation special for Dallas Cowboy fans everywhere! Two rare pro football films - the 1960 Cowboys Highlights plus the NFL TV show "Time For Football" have been combined and include the Cowboys' first win in history, a 27-24 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in The Cotton Bowl!

     Former New York Giants assistant coach Tom Landry became the first coach of the Cowboys and promptly acquired his two quarterbacks: Eddie LeBaron in a trade, and young Don Meredith in the expansion draft. End Jim Doran and linebacker Jerry Tubbs were the two top players during that memorable first season, however Cowboy fans will remember many other players which are shown in action on this film: Fred Dugan, Frank Clarke, L.G. Dupre, Don McIlhenny, Fred Cone, Dave Sherer, Bob Fry, Gene Babb, Wayne Hansen, Don Healy, Billy Herchman, Dick Bielski, Ray Mathews, Walt Kowalczyk, Tom Franckhauser and Billy Howton. Of course, the highlight of the season is the 31-31 tie at Yankee Stadium vs. last year's Eastern champion New York Giants!

*   Cowboys vs. Steelers at The Cotton Bowl - Eddie LeBaron's TD pass to Dick Bielski ties game at 24-all with 56 seconds to play, and Allen Green's 27-yd FG with 1 second left gives Cowboys their first win in history, 27-24 in a heart stopping finish!
*   Cardinals vs. Giants at Yankee Stadium - Willie West's fumble recovery in the end zone starts the Cards rolling, and a Sam Etcheverry to Frank Mestnik TD screen pass completes the scoring in a 21-10 upset win over Y.A. Tittle and Giants!
*   Colts vs. Rams at Memorial Stadium - Steve Myhra's 39-yd FG early in the 4th quarter caps Colts come-from-behind 27-24 win vs. L.A. Rams!
*   Lions vs. Packers at County Stadium, Milwaukee - Nick Pietrosante's two TD runs and Jim Martin's FG are barely enough, but "Night Train" Lane's game-saving interception stalls 4th quarter Packer comeback bid as Lions outlast Packers 17-13!
*   Vikings vs. Bears at Metropolitan Stadium - Young rookie QB Fran Tarkenton is the star of perhaps the biggest upset of the season, as Vikings dominate Chicago 37-13! Fran tosses four TD passes and runs for another himself in his first pro game! It's also the Vikings' first game in franchise history, played during this week of historic upsets!
*   49'ers vs. Redskins at old Kezar Stadium - J.D. Smith scores two TD's and QB John Brodie tosses 4 TD passes (two to Monte Stickles), as 49'ers overwhelm Redskins, 35-3!
*   Eagles vs. Browns at Franklin Field - Tom Brookshier's late 4th quarter interception prevents Cleveland comeback and seals Eagles 27-20 win over Browns. Tim Brown's 105-yd TD return on Lou Groza's game-opening kickoff is a new Eagle record!
