A rare glimpse of NFL football as played during World War II is now available on beautiful COLOR video from Rare Sportsfilms! On this new tape, the Cleveland Rams are shown playing in back-to-back weeks, October 29 and November 5, 1944. This new 34-minute B & W and Color video begins with the Rams at Wrigley Field against the Chicago Bears. The Rams are 3-1, having already beaten the Bears in Cleveland earlier in the year. Chicago is 1-2-1 starting this exciting game that the Bears win, 28-21. This segment is in B & W sound and contains great field-level shots and closeups of the players, including Lou Zontini, Tom Colella, Jim Benton, George Wilson, Connie Berry, Henry Margarita, Johnny Long, Al Grygo, Gary Famiglietti and quarterbacks Sid Luckman and Albie Reisz.
The following week the Rams travel to Washington to tangle with the Redskins at old Griffith Stadium.
